It was President's Day and that means 'no school'... I sure don't remember that holiday when I was growing up!
So to keep peace in the house after a long weekend, I loaded up the girls and we went to Build-A-Bear where Caroline was able to spend some of her birthday gift cards she received her aunts.
To Caroline, it was an hour of carefully selecting the perfect bear... picking up each one and carefully looking them over to see if they would be a good fit for her already growing Build-A- Bear collection. After selecting the one (because her neighbor friend has the same one!)... we asked Lily to find one she'd like to have... and she had no interest in the big bears! She just wanted an accessory... which worked for me.
Well, after standing in line for 30 minutes waiting to stuff our bear... it was Caroline's turn and Lily watched with amazement for about a minute and then ran off and grabbed the first bear from the bin she could find and ran back... she wanted in on the action!
So both girls got their bears ... and "Sparkles" and "Green" have both joined the family.
