Our Heroine... Fancy Nancy

It was "Fancy Nancy" day at our library (aka ... Barnes and Noble)... and the girls got all "Fancy Nancied" and went to a morning of dressing up, reading stories, crafts and of course...the all important snack!
As you can see Lily had some moments... she had a 'boo boo' on her toe and was not happy about it at all!

America(n) Girls!

It has been awhile since I last post... actually it was our last holiday of Mother's Day.

We've been busy. June was a crazy month for us. Both girls started swimming lessons for the entire month. They finished up an art camp last week (that they both just loved!). We went on a week-long adventure to Dallas where we played at the phenomenal malls, American Girl store, Six Flags... you name it, we did it!

And we have had a mountain of birthday parties this month.

Every time we go to the mailbox, Caroline will ask "for my invitations, please" ... like she is Cinderella. And, I'll be darn... there usually is an invitation in the mail.

I so want their life!

Here are some pics of my American Girls at the American Girl store in Dallas. We went there a couple of weeks ago!

The Best Mother's Day Gift of All...

are these two little faces!!!

How You Are Suppose to Drink Tea...

from an "almost three year old's" book on manners...

Why I Love This Child...

This picture says it all!

The Tea Party

For Mother's Day, the girls and I took the Mimi to a tea room for lunch. While I knew Caroline would be good... Lily was another story!

Much to our surpise, our spirited, vivacious little 'almost three year old" turned out to be model of good manner!
Enjoy the pics... we sure enjoyed the day!

Soccer Gold Medal

After three months of below-freezing, early Saturday mornings out on the soccer field... she has earned her medal!

Mom and Dad are not only thrilled with her tenacious spirit on the field, but the fact that soccer is over for the year!

I Love This Saying!

"Thank God for dirty dishes. It means you have food for your family."

it sure does makes me feel better about all of those dirty dishes I have in my sink right now :-)

Hunting of the Easter Eggs!

Happy Easter!

The girls had a wonderful Easter weekend. After Friday's trip to Kansas City to see the Disney on Ice show... they spent Saturday at a birthday party and going to a friend's Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Sunday was filled with Easter goodies from the bunny himself, going to Mass at St. Thomas and then having brunch with Baba, Grandma and Mimi at the club.

Here's a gimpse at what the Bunny brought this morning.. here in Wichita, the big bunny rings the doorbell and leaves his goodies before hopping away...

Caroline and Lily enjoying their baskets!

Easter Beauties!

Disney on Ice...

We treated the girls to an evening in Kansas City for a performance of Princess Wishes: Disney on Ice at the new Sprint Center.

First we headed out for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe and between the girls' "ohs and ahs" the did finally eat their dinner :-)

After that we headed to the brand-new Sprint Center in downtown KC and watched the Disney Show. Both girls loved every bit of it! I've included a few pictures!!! Even Dad (the ice capades novice) agreed that it was a good show.

Personally, I just wanted to bottle up the entire evening because I know next year, we'll be sitting at the Sprint Center for a Hannah Montana concert!

The City Museum... The Coolest Kids Museum Ever!

For our "Pracht Family Fun Day", we took the kids to The City Museum in St. Louis. It is the kind of museum that Wes Cravens would have designed for kids... it was so cool, with so many neat thing for kids to see and experience.

We had to pry our girls out the door when it was time to leave!

Oh Lordy... There Goes Lily!

Lily did it too... After big sister demonstrated her high-flying tramoplene act, little sister wanted to experience the action for herself.

Mom and dad couldn't believe their eyes and their 2 year old flew into air... and before long, she drew a crowd of onlookers as well!

Flying High in St. Louis

For the second year in a row, Caroline couldn't wait to get to St. Louis and try out the trampoline-contraption at Union Station.

So when her Uncle Aaron sent her money for her birthday, she knew exactly what she was going to to do with ... her trampolene ride! And, that is all she talked about when reminded about going to St. Louis.

I think the pictures are worth a 1,000 words... don't think I could write it any better... Enjoy!

My New Title... Soccer Mom!

Introducing our new soccer phenom... or maybe a fanatic!

Here are some fun pictures of Caroline at her first soccer practice last week.
